My Latest Obsession

I have become obsessed with books on CD. This was my latest. I listened to it all day, getting 5 loads of laundry done, dusting the living room, both parlors and dining room, and making dinner. I scrubbed the bathroom, sorted all my magazines, cleaned all the fronts of the cupboard, and more. Just keep listening to the story. I have to go to the library tomorrow to get a new one. What should I clean next?

Weddings by Tara Guerard

I bought this book today, and I totally want to get married again! Tara owns an event planning company in Charleston and NYC, and she is amazingly talented. I could get a new dress, have it in Charleston, and you would all be invited! I worked for many years at a bridal salon, and oh, the stories I could tell. I still love weddings, and I think God gave me boys so I couldn't drive my daughter crazy. She includes recipes in thie book, and I am going to make her Banana Split cheesecake for the school auction. It looks divine.

Homemade Doughnuts

I made donuts for the first time, with help from J and S. It was very easy and everyone enjoyed them. I will definitely make them again.

Living Room
December was busy! I ran three different fundraisers at school, had an open house for 200 (and yes, I made all the food), had a going away party the next day for classmates of J and S, who moved to North Carolina, hosted Christmas Eve for my family, and the next day drove to Door Co. for Christmas with the in-laws. New Years Eve was low key with just one couple and their baby. Whew, no wonder I needed a break!

Cathcing Up, part 2

We have had a little snow.

My poor Charleton joggling board.

This was the first snow of the season.

Beautiful to look at, not so beautiful to deal with.

The Turkey Coma
Where have I been? Life has gotten busy, my computer died (a very untimely and expensive death), and the weather has been cold and wet and windy. DEPRESSING! Now I'm back and going to spend the week doing some catch up.
