Dear Levi,
I know you are only a few hours old, but you have to know what a lucky little boy you are! You have such a wonderful Mommy. She has been waiting, with a huge smile on her face, for 9 long months. Now, I know your Daddy is great too, but your Mommy's feet haven't touched the ground since last fall, so be extra nice to her. Always give her kisses and hugs, try to take crayons, chapstick and legos out of your pockets, before they go into the wash. Tell her you love her, and that she is the bestest Mommy ever, because she is! Welcome to the world, Levi. It's yours for the taking!

This beautiful cutting board was given to me by S's teacher, as a thank you for my help this year. It was completely unnecessary, I gladly helped and felt lucky to be able to. Mrs. O saw me lusting after the donated board at the school auction, and knew I would like to have one of my own. She asked the parent who made it to make me one. Liz did a fabulous job, and I have it on my counter, where it is lovingly stroked and admired. I don't think I will ever be able to really cut on it. It's just too beautiful. Aren't these the cutest boats? My friend, Maheen, gave them to the boys. They are customized for them with their names, initials, birth dates and interests. J's even has a George Washington on it!
