Mean Girls

Today I was openly mocked about what I was wearing by two thirty-something moms at Target. They pointed and laughed. I thought I looked quite spiffy in my cashmere sweater, white starched shirt, Lilly patchwork pants and loafers. And, of course, pearls. It took all my willpower not to yell, "Nice yoga pants. How's that work out going with your Starbucks?!" I realize I stand out in this neck of the woods............. but I wouldn't have it any other way.

My entire wardrobe of Lilly is packed and we are off to two weeks in Florida!

Disney, Clearwater, Sanibel, Everglades, the Keys, Miami, Palm Beach...

We'll see it, and eat it, all!

Guess

Guess how fast a Lilly Pulitzer Jubilee scarf can get sucked up a vacuum... anyone, anyone, Bueller? Yes, pretty damn fast, about 2 seconds, and FYI my vacuum has such powerful suction that as the scarf slid off the table it just sucked it right up. Now guess how long it takes to get the scarf out of the vacuum. Thirty minutes, two screwdrivers and plenty of sweating and swearing! That pretty well sums up the day.

Calling Color

Where is the color in the stores? I want a new outfit for a school function on the 14th, and everything seems to be dark. What gives? All the spring colors should be out, right? Calling pink, bright green, lavender, hello, are you out there? Other than Lilly Pulitzer, which I can't get in this area, it is looking dismal. I almost always wear pink, as Shelby said "It's my signature color". I know the country is depressed, but give us something happy to wear!
