Antique Silver

I just received my copy of Charleston Magazine today (when it arrives, it instantly becomes a better day) and really enjoyed the article about antique silver. I have lots of silver, but nothing like the one above. I'll have to add it to the "if I ever win the lottery" list.

Charleston

I found this picture on http://www.teaorwine.blogspot.com/ and it made me so happy . I love Charleston, and get homesick (even tough that isn't my hometown) when I've been away too long. I come back from every trip there inspired. In the way I dress, decorate and garden. I want to have garden parties, polish my silver and pour some sweet tea. She never fails to captivate me. Thanks Tea or Wine, you made my day! Check out her blog for more pics. And go visit!

Nobody touched anyone before Vacation!

My son's 1st grade class had 7 kids out today. Out of 16! After assembly this morning, I told his class, "Okay now, nobody touched or breath on J!" Then Mrs. V yelled, "Or Me!" We start a winter break Friday, and we are headed for our cottage in Door Co. for the weekend. Not my favorite place to go, but my husband and the boys love it. I bring lots of reading material and think about how I would redecorate it. This is a family owned cottage, so I won't be redecorating. Our room looks great, the rest of the house is not in my taste. Oh well, maybe someday I will have a beach cottage in Savannah or Charleston. Ah, to dream........
